This Kamon artwork depicted by Taiko-byo (hemisphere-shaped decorative studs) has ambitiously taken traditional Mon expressions to the next level, taking advantage of the sensitivity and delicate handwork unique to Kyogen. The creation on the left page includes as many as 13,000 Taiko-byo studs and is completed on a panel over three meters long. The five major Kamon – Katabami, Mokko, Takanoha, Fuji, and Kiri are demonstrated with dignity, and this artwork was exhibited for a month at the Global Closet Art Gallery on the second floor of Isetan Shinjuku Main store(one of the leading department store). The pictures on the right are the displays that adorn the ground floor of “NOHGA HOTEL UENO TOKYO.” Additionally, the artwork hung in a suite room features a beautiful, elegant contrast of dark red base and golden studs.
