森岡書店 銀座店にて『二冊の本展 波戸場承龍・耀次』を開催！

家紋デザインを軸に江戸の技法とデジタル技術を掛け合わせた数多くの作品を生み出す紋章上繪師 波戸場承龍・耀次の初著書となる『紋の辞典』（雷鳥社）と、二冊目の著書『誰でもできるコンパスと定規で描く「紋」UWAEMON』（彩図社）の出版記念展を開催致します。 二冊の本が生まれるきっかけとなった、円と線で描き出す波戸場承龍のオリジナル技法「紋曼荼羅®︎」のアート作品や、江戸の技法である手描き家紋の作品などを展示。「一冊の本からインスパイアされる展覧会を行う書店」として有名な「森岡書店」にて今回、特別に二冊の本を扱わせて頂ける事になりました。デジタル技術も手仕事も本質を辿れば「円と線」が浮かび上がってきます。家紋デザインの真髄を二冊の本と共に楽しんで頂けましたら幸いです。

A book written by Shoryu Hatoba and Yohji Hatoba from the perspective of Monsho-uwaeshi (Kamon-artist). In addition to a brief explanation of each Kamon, it also touches on the structure of Kamon, making it a unique book. Furthermore, all kamon are drawn with "Mon-Mondala ® ︎", an original technique of Shoryu Hatoba, which draws only with perfect circles and straight lines, so you can enjoy the beauty of Japanese Kamon design just by flipping through the pages. There are also several pages that tell you how the design variations were born from the basic Kamon.
