All of the artworks created by Shoryu Hatoba constantly seek new ways of expressing Kamon.“Mon × Studs” depicts crests in dots and further decorates them with Taiko-byo (hemisphere-shaped decorative studs). The three-dimensional illusional display, “USARA” and the original artworks MON-MANDALA® utilizing the unique technique of Monsho-uwaeshi were merely a few of the stunning examples. Despite the traditional culture of family crests, Kyogen is devising works that stimulate creative artists of various genres one after another.
