Kyogen participated in “NIHONBASHI MEGURU FES” that was held concurrently with the opening of “COREDO Muromachi Terrace.” One of the features during this event was an exhibition called “Meguru Noren-ten” For this exhibition, Kyogen created the Mon based on the famous statue of Qilin (a mythical creature) in Nihonbashi, and that Mon was then placed on Noren curtains. One side of the Noren showed the history of Nihonbashi utilizing the Honzome technique where dye was poured onto multiple layers of fabric, while the other side displayed MON-MANDALA® in digital transfer print, expressing the innovative spirit of Nihonbashi. In addition, Kyogen was deeply involved in “mon terrace”, the graphical projection that was played in the outdoor open space at COREDO Muromachi Terrace. Kyogenʼs artworks collaborated with the laser produced by an artistic team, MES, and the projection technique offered by Bascule Inc.
